Get to know the opening and closing films of the 41st Edition

The 41st Mar del Plata International Film Festival opens in style with Wild Horse Nine, Martin McDonagh‘s latest film. With a stellar cast led by John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, and Steve Buscemi as three CIA agents who can no longer tell the difference between the mission and the paranoia. From the director of The Banshees of Inisherin and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, one of the most celebrated films of the season comes to Mar del Plata, following its run at Venice, Telluride, and Toronto.

A great film to open a great edition.

Furthermore, the film that closes the Festival will be Borges and Me, Marc Turtletaub‘s latest film. With Luis Gnecco as Jorge Luis Borges himself, alongside Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk), Alan Cumming, and Peter Mullan. Based on Jay Parini’s memoir, the film recreates the celebrated Argentine author’s journey through the Scottish Highlands, paying tribute on the 40th anniversary of his passing.

The perfect closing to an unforgettable edition. See you in Mar del Plata.
