Mar del Plata as a filming location

Viernes 06 de Noviembre | 16:00 hs | Chauvin Centro de Creación

In addition to hosting a Class A International Film Festival, along with other audiovisual exhibitions and competitions of various kinds, Mar del Plata — with around 300 feature films shot wholly or partly in the city, from the silent era to the present — is a city born for cinema. It offers landscapes ranging from the beach to the hills, from the city center to the port, from its streets to its rooftops: locations within reach of screenwriters, directors, performers, and crew, suitable for every kind of subject, genre, and narrative form. Some of the city’s most iconic — and most surprising — filming locations will be showcased and discussed in this talk.
