Synopsis
A new volcano is forming in the Fire Mountain Range of Guatemala, presenting both business opportunities and threats to the local population. For many, it means losing their homes and way of life. Paula, a dedicated volcanologist, is determined to fight corruption in her country to evacuate at-risk communities and keep them safe.
Jayro Bustamante
Jayro Bustamante is a film director, producer, and screenwriter. His first feature, Ixcanul (2015), won the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and over 60 international awards. In 2019, he released Temblores and La Llorona, which was nominated for a Golden Globe.
