Synopsis
In a botanical garden in a medieval German university town stands a majestic ginkgo tree ? a silent witness to over a century of quiet transformation. 2020: A neuroscientist from Hong Kong, studying the minds of babies, begins an unexpected experiment with the old tree. 1972: A young student is changed by the simple act of observing a geranium. 1908: The university?s first female student discovers sacred patterns through photography. We follow their clumsy attempts to connect ? each rooted in their time ? as they?re transformed by nature?s quiet, enduring power.
Ildikó Enyedi
Ildiko Enyedi debuted in Cannes with My Twentieth Century (1989). Her filmography includes titles such as Magic Hunter (1994), Simon the Magician (1999) and The Story of My Wife (2021). Her film On Body and Soul (2017) got a golden bear at the Berlinale and an Oscar nomination.
