Lorca on screen

This year the festival is screening two films intimately connected to Federico García Lorca: La bola negra by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, Spain’s submission for Best International Feature Film at the Oscars, presented by the Centro Cultural de España en Buenos Aires, and Enlorquecido by Manu Huelva and Manuel Poveda. The panel will examine how Lorca’s life and work continues to enrich cinema. Manuel Poveda, the celebrated singer, travels specially from Spain to take part.
