Synopsis

This documentary tells the fascinating story of Benjamín Sisterna, one of the world?s most important shell collectors. A native of Vera, a small town in Santa Fe, he began selling bread on the street at the age of eight to help support his family and went on to become one of the founders of a company that changed the history of alfajores and Mar del Plata: Havanna.

Martín Virgili is a composer, documentary filmmaker, and sound artist. His work highlights the cultural heritage of Mar del Plata through cinema and sound art. He has directed Desde las montañas (2010), Fluctuat nec mergitur (2016), Los últimos (2023), and he participated in La Biennale.
