Submissions Open for the 41st Mar del Plata International Film Festival

The Mar del Plata International Film Festival has opened its call for entries for its 41st edition, which will take place from November 5 to 15, 2026.
Submissions will be open from May 4 to June 30, 2026, for national and international films of all genres.
Filmmakers and production companies from around the world may submit their works clicking here.
Categories and Sections
The festival accepts feature-length, medium-length, and short films for the following sections:
● International Competition
● Latin American Competition
● Argentine Competition
● In Transit / WIP (Argentine and Latin American projects in development)
● Panorama (non-competitive)
Eligibility Requirements
Submitted works must have been completed within the 12 months preceding the start of the festival, that is, between November 2025 and November 2026, and must not have had prior public screenings in Argentina.
For selection purposes, a password-protected download link, valid through the end of the festival, is required, with a maximum file size of 2 GB.
Submission Fees
Submission fees vary depending on the origin and duration of the work:
International Feature Films: USD 60
International Medium-Length and Short Films: USD 30
Argentine Feature Films: ARS 60,000
Argentine Medium-Length and Short Films: ARS 30,000
The Mar del Plata International Film Festival is the only FIAPF-accredited Category A film festival in Latin America, reinforcing its position as one of the leading platforms for the exhibition and international circulation of the creative industry worldwide.
The festival is organized by INCAA, under the Argentine Secretariat of Culture, and, for the third consecutive year, it takes place in partnership with the Ente Municipal de Turismo y Cultura de Mar del Plata (EMTURyC), under the Municipalidad de General Pueyrredón, within the framework of the current cooperation agreement.
